Reeds Quilt Copper
Handmade quilt using repurposed linen and cotton, with highlights of copper to catch the light. All the quilting is by hand using cotton thread and some of the cotton has been naturally dyed with flowers from my garden, including dahlias.
The quilt was inspired by the light and colours of the reeds at Ham Wall Nature Reserve, in the early morning when then light hits the water and moves amongst the reeds.
The quilt includes copper sheet, which moves and is tactile but as such the quilt is not designed for practical use and more of a decorative item. A wooden pole is included for hanging.
